  • The King James Version of the Bible ( KJV / AV / Authorized Version ) IS Copyrighted, but only in the UK (United Kingdom — England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland). Crown Copyright is rejected in international treates (probably because it is ‘life of the british goverment + 50 years’) so it didn’t virally spread to the rest of the world. Plus the crown patent / copyright is probably not enforced much within the UK, at least for the KJV, at least with digital copying, general use, and quotation in print text.
