Now why do you think so many hollywood movies are pirated in China and the mob counterfeiters so successful? I prefer Emule but you generally need to use black-market proxies and routers to get out of the country without hinderance (shaping, throttling, censorship) though.

My Blog and a number of my comment postings on other sites come up on MSN Search China. It also comes up on Google China. It got censored from Yahoo China and Baidu. It appears that Baidu and Yahoo have banned the keyword ‘GreatInca’ also, both returning only one result, a metasearch page Emule Chinese Movies Download for baidu and a Posting on Emule’s Forums for Yahoo. So I guess China does hate me. Oh well, like I give a damn. Democracy communism sucks commy party sucks down with communist tyrants rebellion uprising massacre matyre. Now that more stuff to censor. Whats wierd is that some searches on Baidu will only bring up ED2K hashlink sites with links to pirated copyrighted movies and music with the rest of the results being censored!!

(Updated 6/22/2003) Both Sweeden and Russia are being threatened (China is both a hopeless case and too powerful). The Slyck Link has a Link to a US goverment to sweedish goverment communication that was leaked from an embasy in Sweden to a sweedish newsaper. I say ignore the threats!! Refuse! Resist! The USA imports so much shit that they need the trade more than the theatened country does. Let the USA put up sanctions. World economic depression with the USA getting screwed the most. Emule (piracy) can only compensate and bypass sanctions for digital goods but it will do a good damned job at it though. Works quite well in China. If its digital and trade barriers or internal restrictions cause unfufilled demand, Emule happily fills the void! Probably, eventually, the USA will being going to WAR over piracy instead of WMD-paranoia or Oil! With the RIAA, MPAA and other, like-cultured, large corporations at the helm via a puppet interface!

PIs (Private investigators) are used everywhere. My company may be using one on me for all I know. My sister hired one to stalk evidence for a lawsuit on a babysitter who caused my nephew to get 2nd degree burns from a scalding hot bathtub faucet because she was watching too many kids at a time. The babysitter babysitted in-house for someone dragging 5-6 other kids into that house that she was supposed to watch in her own house. The babysitter’s employer’s homeowners insurance ended up the victim as the babysitter had nothing to take. Most of the spy cams that you would find would belong to a PI and not the FBI as they usually use remote survance or cameras under 1/8″, usually slinkies and have active monitoring within 1/4 mile while a PI is a pickup a tape every day or two kind of deal.

Doesn’t surprise me. Sometimes hacking and spying is the only way to get evidence that holds weight in a respectable courtroom (Chinese and many middle eastern courts don’t hold respectable trials).

(Edited 6/29/2006) The USA Constitution is too outdated to grant freedom of electronic distribution. The Bible is too obsolete to give any wisdom of intellectual property and is only covered by the equivilant of generic heuristic used by anti-virus programs (when definitions are outdated or the virus is just too new) of ‘love god’ and ‘love thy neighbor’. Though this catch-all heuristic is much more effective than the predictive heuristic algorithms used in the antivirus programs. I can’t wait until gentic piracy becomes an issue if it not already is (breeding)!!
I have a pro-piracy example in the Bible! It is not precisely like digital copying though. It is more like chopping up an MP3 or AVI into 1000 little pices and picking 500 random pieces of it and merging it with your own 500 out of 1000 little pieces of a similar and compatible MP3 or AVI. Look at Genesis 30 Verse 25 to 43 (Link is to Genesis Chapter 30 on the NLT on BibleGateway.com). It is an example of breeding piracy. Verses 37 to 43 has the methodology and Verse 25 to 37 provides contextual coherence. Jacob ’stole’ a copy of the genetic material from Laban’s flock (’stole’ because no permission to inter-breed was obtained from Laban and common meeting/watering grounds was exploited) by using sexual lures to encourage inter-breeding (biological copying the old-fashioned way) while being selective at which animals mate (by removing the herbal aromic sexual lures). It describes it as an achievment and blessing, not a crime, probably more becuase there was no concept of ‘intellectual property’ in early old-testament times. If you did that in real-life though, you’d probably get sued, with conviction being dependent on how well the laws are developed in determining how or in what way genes can by copyrighted.
Boy just wait until you can start sharing cloning schematics on the filesharing networks (or just sharing blu-rays with your friend!)!! Digital-Genetic-Warez!! One problem is that cloning and digitized genome maps leave the scope of the context of the bible block. It only describes inter-breeding between livestock herds without permission of the other herd’s owner and it does not precisely overlap with exact and lossless digital copying. The gentic code itself is ‘digital’ though – it can be replicated without error, but the god-created natural process encourages minor errors and systems that are robust against these minor errors and then splices two copies (parents) half-and-half with 99 to 99.99% similar genomes to produce diversity in the 3rd copy (baby).

Looks like their example-making is backfiring too much. They are probably trying to reduce the publicity and therefore intensity of their example-making incase the equation may be quadratic (Such as Example=BadWill^2) or worse.

Don’t pick on the USA too much. Area-51 is over-publiced and the US goverment probably aready has reduced it to a ‘public decoy’ with only modest top-secret testing going on (probably foreign aircraft) — No more Auroras and other hypersonic aircraft and such. Go pick on Europe, Russia, and especially China too. Even India could have underground UFO salvage going on.
