Al-Qaeda (Al-Quaeda, Al-Queida) Terrorists vs DVD Bootleggers with Stolen Corporate bandwidth
You know that DVD bootleggers and Al’Quieda terrorists are having hacker wars over stolen internet bandwidth? Al’Quieda are losing obviously, using outdated methods. I’ve seen a lot of ’sucide vest instruction videos’ with links that have ‘0day’ and ‘temp’ in them, which resemble the olden days of 0-day warez sites. These accounts don’t last long and soon have DVDs (full-size rips not DIVx or XVID) on them instead, with the links not looking like they are linking to stolen bandwidth. I think middle eastern terrorists and southeast asian bootleg pirates are both hijacking corporate bandwidth to curry content in their organized crime (or terror) networks, and they clash occasionally, and the DVD bootleggers win every time.
The FBI is nothing if movie piracy is hurting the terrorist circles more than the law enforcement does. The opressometer is going up and are freedoms are going down the toilet but security isn’t really going up at all. Just more HFOG (heavy foot of geverment). Also if you are whining about RIAA/MPAA copyrights, illeagle DVD pirate-sellers are hurt far more by free file sharing networks than the legit copyright owners. They plan on 4-6 week windows before piracy on Emule an BitTorrent start impacting their $1-5 DVD (They are $5 in the USA) sales too much.
Edit 6/27/2006: I misspelled al-Qaeda as Al-Queida!? Found on after installing the stats plugin and looking at the google search phreases.? Another common mis-spelling is Al-Quaeda.
